Projects

By far the most memorable project that the NCHPSA has undertaken is the NC Highway Patrol Memorial located on the grounds of the NCSHP Training Academy. The memorial was dedicated on May 18, 1986 following many months of planning, designing, and fundraising.

A hooked rug of the Highway Patrol patch was completed over several months of “hooking” gatherings. Some of the men even participated. The rug now hangs in the Farmer Building at the Academy behind the antique auto. Other items given to the NC State Highway Patrol, the Academy, or individual troopers over the years:
